The 10 to 15 year warranty normally comes from the supplier of the paint product not your painter.
For simply changing the color, acrylic latex paint is the most cost effective product there is. Normally you can apply two coats of latex paint on the areas you are painting in one day no problem at all. If your painting crew has their act together and are professionals they can prepare the areas for spraying the stucco, apply two coats of paint, clean up, and leave the areas being painted ready to use by the end of the day. This allows for minimum disruption to the people occupying the house or building you are painting. It is not pleasant having all the areas not being painted covered up or protected for several days especially when you are at the mercy of Calgary weather.
